Papaw Jack

Hello, all.

Just felt like blogging this morning...with a heavy heart. Jeremy's Papaw Jack passed away yesterday after a courageous battle with cancer...and I do mean courageous. He was a wonderful man and will be sorely missed, but we are glad that he is at peace. Please keep Mamaw and the rest of the family in your prayers.

We unfortunately missed the call yesterday as Ben and I were gone all day and Jeremy's phone seemed not to be working (he is at work.) We are not sure yet as to when the services will be, but Jeremy is hoping to be able attend. However, he has final exams this week and is wrapping up the EMT class he is in, so not sure if he will be able to get away. If he is able to go, it will probably be just him as we do not think Ben will do well with such a hurried trip...especially if there is a plane involved. Our concern is that it will really throw him out of sorts and we will spend the short time there focused on him rather than being there for the family and to say our good-byes. :o( That's bothering me a lot I suppose. Wish we could be there.

Please pray for the family members that will be traveling, for their safety and so that they may find strength and comfort in each other as they say goodbye to Papaw.

Well, I should go get myself, Ben and the house together. It's been a busy weekend. Friday we had my brother's Christmas party. Yesterday we spent all day at my sister's making cookies & candy before going to the zoo for the lights and a get together thrown by one of the CHIP families (thanks again Olsons). Today is the Nutcracker with my mom, sister and niece. Boombee is going to watch the boys... (I hope and pray that goes well!)
